Every month at Delaware Fit Factory, somewhere around 70 to 75 members earn a spot in the Committed Club.
The rule is simple:
Check in 14 times during the month.
That’s it.
But every month, we hear the same question:
“How do people actually make it to 14 check-ins?”
There are several ways to earn a check-in.
You can:
Every one of those counts toward your 14 check-ins.
That’s the easy part.
The harder question is…
The people who make the Committed Club aren’t lucky.
They’re intentional.
They don’t wake up every morning wondering if they’ll feel motivated enough to work out.
They’ve already made the decision.
Here are a few strategies we see every month:
Notice something?
None of those strategies are magical.
They’re simply commitments.
People often think the members who consistently make the Committed Club are somehow more motivated.
They’re not.
They’re simply more committed.
Motivation comes and goes.
Commitment shows up anyway.
There are mornings when every single one of us would rather stay in bed.
There are afternoons when work gets stressful.
There are evenings when the couch sounds a whole lot better than burpees.
The members who consistently improve don’t avoid those days.
They train anyway.
This is probably the most common objection we hear.
“I really want to…”
“I just can’t make it work.”
“My schedule is too busy.”
I’m going to challenge that belief.
Not because I don’t think your schedule is busy—it probably is.
You have kids.
You have work.
You have appointments.
You have responsibilities.
So do many of the people standing next to you in class.
The difference isn’t that they have more time.
The difference is that they’ve decided their health deserves a place on the calendar.
Sometimes that means waking up an hour earlier.
Sometimes it means saying “no” to something else.
Sometimes it means meal prepping on Sunday or getting to bed a little sooner.
Those aren’t easy choices.
But they’re choices.
Nobody accidentally makes the Committed Club.
Nobody accidentally builds strength.
Nobody accidentally loses body fat.
Nobody accidentally adds years of healthy, active life.
Those things happen because someone consistently chooses to show up.
Again.
And again.
And again.
Don’t focus on 14 check-ins.
Focus on today’s check-in.
Reserve your classes.
Protect your workout time.
Show up.
Then do it again tomorrow.
Because the members who make the Committed Club aren’t superhuman.
They’re simply people who decided their health was worth committing to.
Maybe this month, that’s you.
